The house is two horizontal plates. The lower one holds the living spaces and sits in the dune. The upper one holds the bedrooms and cantilevers 6 metres toward the sea, shading the glazed ground floor below.
The edges are kept as thin as possible: a 180 mm white fibre-cement fascia hides the structure and gutters, so the house reads as a drawing of two lines against the sky.
Materials
White fibre-cement, pale oak, terrazzo floors and aluminium window frames. Nothing is painted except the steel.
